This G+9 multifamily apartment building is located in Baridhara, Dhaka. Designed with a focus on functionality and climate responsiveness, the project uses exposed fair-faced concrete as its primary material, complemented by glass balustrades and steel elements. The building is oriented predominantly to the south, allowing maximum daylight and natural ventilation. Each floor includes large verandas that provide shaded outdoor spaces and help reduce solar heat gain. Planters are integrated into the balconies, adding greenery to the facade and softening the overall massing. The upper levels include green terraces and semi-open spaces that offer communal and private outdoor areas. The ground floor is recessed, creating a defined entrance zone and accommodating vehicular access without dominating the street frontage. This project demonstrates a simple and robust approach to apartment living, combining durable materials, passive design strategies, and provision for outdoor spaces to create a comfortable urban residential environment.
