A studio residence which was primarily designed for an elderly person to spend post retirement days in a solitary home within the city, later resided by a photographer, then a culinary artist adapting its use over time. Built on a modest plot, the design prioritizes essentials over extravagance, using only the minimum area necessary for its function. Nearly half of the site remaining open surrounded by plants and vegetations at the rear, fostering a minimalist lifestyle with simple layout design incorporated in a single floor space. The space accommodates a single occupant, featuring a small living and dining area with room for a housekeeper at most. A homey appeal embodied in the design,strives to age gracefully, reflecting a minimal and down to earth aesthetic that harmonizes with the surroundings. The one storied house made of brick walls and elements harboring light color tones reinforce its polished yet humble character. Composed of a regular square geometry, the residence is oriented toward the east fully opening onto the front porch to welcome the first light of dawn while permitting an uninterrupted visual and spatial connection between indoor and outdoor.
