The concept of this interior design was made to consider multiple aspects relating to the contrasting design styles mainly encompassing the building’s existing architecture, the client's distinct preferences, and the extensive color palette. The intention was to design an ideal canvas that suits the client’s coordinated objects and achieve a unified setting that incorporates the conspicuous design elements blending seamlessly with the surroundings over time. The client, being an ardent collector, articulates a strong creative interest, arranging a space that showcases the unique collectibles within the house.
A juxtaposition of Indo-Asian and European influences shaped the contemporary abode strategically diverging from conventional architectural norms. Fair-face walls, utilized to emphasize the rawness of Anglo-Asian elements, blend with the modern components such as marble and glass, while a combination of wood and rustic tones compensates for the traditional atmosphere. Through spatial modifications and enhanced functionality, the antiquities of the salvaged items from various parts of the world carrying layers of memory are arranged to situate themselves piece by piece into the contemporary abode.
